Vancouver City Blessing Church

City Blessing Metro Vancouver is partnering with Metro Kids Society again in 2023 to distribute backpacks in early August to inner city families in Surrey and Langley. With the hopes for a fresh start to the new school year, we’d like to invite you to be a part of City Blessing’s Backpack Pals, where we will be gifting backpacks full of supplies to elementary aged students. In the last two years, you have helped us pack over 450 backpacks and this year, we are targeting to deliver 175 backpacks for these families.

By participating in this program, you’ll get the chance to impact the lives of children as they prepare to step into the new school year. By signing up, you’ll pledge for the number of backpacks you’ll be supporting and and you can join us to pack together.

You’re also invited to deliver the backpacks directly to the children during the week of August 7-10 in Surrey or Langley. We’ll send more information closer to the date.

Signups for Backpack Pals closes on Sunday, June 25 and we will collect the pledges by INTERAC e-Transfer to vancityblessing@gmail.com by Sunday, June 25.
